How is hubcap size determined?

The shop lists the outer diameter of the cap, measured rim to rim with a caliper. If the old cap is missing, measure the centre bore and send the figure with a photograph. The car model is only a hint. Aftermarket wheels often differ from the set that left the dealer.

Which BMW hubcap diameters are most common?

There is no single BMW size. On factory wheels 56 mm and 68 mm show up a lot, but it depends on the generation, the wheel pack and whether someone fitted aftermarket rims. A 56 mm cap will not seat in a 68 mm bore. Badge colour is a separate choice, not a size. The reliable method is to measure the old cap or the hole.

What is the difference between a hubcap, a sticker and a body emblem?

A hubcap is the plastic plug in the wheel centre. A sticker is only the badge glued onto that plug. A body emblem goes on the bonnet, boot, grille, wing or interior trim.

How many pieces are in a listing?

Hubcaps, cap stickers and valve caps are usually sold as four pieces. Emblems and accessories follow the count in the title, often one or two pieces.

How should a sticker or emblem be fitted?

Wash and degrease the surface. Fit at room temperature and press from the centre outwards. Skip a wax wash for 24 hours. Dried factory adhesive has to come off first, otherwise the badge lifts.
